the wollemi  pine stands alone in the lawn an artificial planting living fossil on show for us all a museum piece of a plant covered by a nicely painted cage of steel  green paint for pine trees even a grating overhead so no one will steal it away whoever saw a tree so rare or a species so endangered there are very few not caught in a cage the location is secret are they really there or is this a painted plastic tree and the shiny leaves a sham i hope my church will not become a fossil, living in secret fenced in for its own safety even building the fences around itself who can reach out to joy if they fence themselves in as a fossil i’d rather be extinct
