Title: Words are fun
The Gk basileus is what we translate as 'kingdom' or 'reigning'. But the root of the word is 'bas' - foot, foundation (like the footings of a structure). So maybe we should talk about the foundationing of God vs. the foundationing of Caesar? What is the basis (another use of the root word 'bas') of life? Or - what is the center? Kingdom is a self limiting term (the dom is the domain or boundaried area in which the king/archon's rule is valid. Europe had many kingdoms - some pretty small. But there is only one acknowledged center of life (or multiple but they are mutually exclusive and not running around with each other's boundaries just touching)?
Anyway, words are fun.
